On the 2nd event of the 2012 Race to Cyprus, Gtour regular Russell Farrow, a 13 Handicapper from Rusper Golf Club claimed his 1st victory on tour.
Farrow who joined the tour in 2011 competed in 13 events before finally securing his first win, said “I did not perform as well as I would’ve liked in the qualifying tournaments last season and just managed to get in the back door for semi Finals. This year I wanted to get through by performing well”
Gtour rookie Steven Jones, an 8 handicapper from Buckinghamshire wins at De Vere Carden Park on his 1st ever event.
The Nicklaus course at De Vere Carden Park hosted the 1st event of the 2012 Gtour – Race to Cyprus and On a day where the players were presented with every type of weather imaginable Steven Jones shot a steady 36 points to take the win on count back from Gtour regular Alan Redmond and fellow Gtour rookie Matt Dransfield.
