The Gtour is a trading name of Mediafore Ltd (Hereafter referred to as “Gtour” or “The Gtour”)

1. The contract

1.1 Entry to the 2012 Gtour – Race to Cyprus order of merit is available only to golfers who have entered no less than 3 completed score cards into their Golfscoretracker.co.uk account or are golf club members with a valid club handicap certificate. Membership of Golfscoretracker is free and can be accessed through our site and various online golf portals.

1.2 A contract shall be deemed to have been made between The Gtour and the Booking Client when the Client has confirmed their booking by payment online or cheque and The Gtour has accepted such booking.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1 Payment in full must be made on booking

3 Extras

3.1 All charges for extra services and goods which the company provides in addition to those outlined in the agreed package will be paid in full at point of purchase.

4. Cancellations

4.1 The customer may cancel a booking by giving The Gtour written notice (recorded delivery) to The Gtour, 18 Beech Avenue, Rayleigh, Essex, SS6 8AE

4.2 Where The Gtour receives notice of cancellation more than 30 days before the event date The Gtour reserves the right to make a cancellation charge of 25% of the cost of the agreed package.

4.3 Where The Gtour receives notice of cancellation more than 15 days and less than 30 days prior to the event, The Gtour reserves the right to make a cancellation charge of 50% of the cost of the agreed package.

4.4 If less than 15 days notice of cancellation is received by The Gtour , no refund will be given.

4.5 In the event any part of the package is cancelled (in whole or in part) as a result of adverse weather conditions or any other cause beyond the control of The Gtour then part or full refunds may or may not be given at the discretion of the venue provider.

5 Liability

5.1 The Gtour acts as the Clients agent in making contracts with third parties for travel, accommodation, restaurant booking and other services not provided by The Gtour and as such shall incur no liability whatsoever and the Customer shall indemnify The Gtour against any claim in connection with or arising from such contracts however any such liability or claim shall arise.

5.2 Throughout your booking with The Gtour you accept full liability for any damage or loss caused by you. The Gtour strongly suggests that you arrange your own golf insurance to cover yourselves against accidents or loss sustained on the golf course and within the venues facilities.

5.3 The Gtour cannot accept any responsibility in any ruling by the hotel/golf course if you are unable to play due to inappropriate attire. Please check before your travel that you and all members of your travelling party are aware of appropriate golfing attire.

6. Fairplay

6.1 The Gtour will endeavour to ensure fair play is practiced by all participants of the Gtour and reserve the right to investigate any incidence of reported unsportsmanlike conduct. In such cases whereby an incident can neither be proven or dis proven The Gtour reserves the right to make a judgment call and this decision will be final.

6.2 Players cards must be marked and signed by another player

6.3 Should the Gtour official consider that any player has not played within the rules then that player may be disqualified

7. Tee times and late arrivals

7.1 You will be notified your tee times by email at least 3 days in advance of the event, these times will also be published on the gtour.co.uk website. It is your responsibility to ensure you arrive well in advance of your tee time (we advise at least 45 mins). In the event that you have been delayed on route, the Gtour team will endeavour but do not guarantee to modify the remaining tee times to accommodate your late arrival. If this is not possible or you do not arrive before the final tee slot no refunds will be given for loss in part or whole of your golf package. You will of course be welcomed to partake in the remaining aspects of the days activities.

8. The competition

8.1 The competition will be over 18 holes and use the stableford scoring method

8.2 3/4 handicaps will be used for stableford scoring

8.3 Count back will be used for any equal results

9. Inclement Weather

9.1 As adverse weather is inevitable during the course of the year, hotels and golf courses may either close the golf course or operate temporary tees and greens at their sole discretion. We always check the status of the golf course in advanced and try to provide sufficient information of any changes to the event.

9.2 Please note that trolley and buggy bans occur frequently when a course is wet and are determined by those in charge of the golf course. Golf played on temporary greens and tees is non-refundable and is considered to be an accepted part of playing golf.

9.3 If the event is unable to go ahead due to course closure we will, without guarantee and at the supplier’s discretion, try to obtain a partial refund or green fee vouchers. Each hotel and golf course sets its own inclement weather policy. All decisions regarding partial refunds or green fee vouchers are solely at the discretion of the hotel and golf course and are final. We cannot be held responsible should inclement weather prevail.

The Gtour reserves the right to override any rules and decide the outcome of all & any disputes.

The above rules are subject to change but all competitors will receive advance notification before the competition day.
